Secrets Revealed: Unmasking Shameless Cheaters and Their Brazen Affair

1. Setting The Trap

So, I was in a relationship with this girl for 3.5 years, and despite our ups and downs, I thought we were meant to be because we had made it that far. We decided to take the plunge and get married, and she was all about having this grand Cinderella wedding. Her parents ended up spending a whopping $25K on everything, which was way out of my family's financial reach.

After the wedding and honeymoon, things started to change. My wife became distant, going out partying with her friends and not wanting me to join. I tried to give her space, thinking it was just the adjustment of being married. But as time went on, I became more suspicious and confronted her about any wrongdoing. This just led to her getting mad and denying everything.

One night, I decided to go visit my parents, who lived about 1.5 hours away, and told her I wouldn't be back until the next day. However, I had a gut feeling and returned home early. When I walked into our bedroom, my worst fears were confirmed. I found my wife and another man, both naked, in our bed. I was furious and devastated, but my anger was directed at her, not him. After all, she was the one who was married, not him. Little did I know at the time, this was the second time she had cheated on me since we got married.

It was a devastating blow. What made it even more confusing was the fact that she hadn't cheated on me while we were dating. She had waited until after we were married. It was clear that her focus had been more on the fairy tale wedding than building a strong marriage.

Needless to say, we got a divorce. The aftermath was a dark period for me. I was deeply depressed for about 6-8 months. I would lie in bed, shaking uncontrollably, on the brink of a nervous breakdown. It was incredibly tough to go through.

But, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. A few years later, after enduring another terrible relationship, I met my soulmate. We've been married for 11 years now, and I can honestly say that I would endure all the pain and heartbreak again if it meant I would end up with her. She's brought so much love and fulfillment into my life, and I'm grateful for the journey that led me to her.

2. Weekend “Business” Trip

Man, let me tell you about this crazy situation with my wife. She was always glued to her phone, always texting, and whenever I asked about it, she would get so evasive, even smirk sometimes, as if she enjoyed making me feel jealous. Ugh, she's just that kind of person.

But here's where it gets interesting. One day, she left her email logged into my cell phone. I didn't snoop around intentionally, but I couldn't help but notice that she had booked a weekend Airbnb trip to a place pretty far away. And get this, the booking was for two people, like a romantic getaway. Suspicious, right?

So, after creating my own account on Airbnb, I decided to keep an eye on her profile. I had this gut feeling that the owner of the place she stayed at might have left a review, revealing more than she wanted. And wouldn't you know it, my hunch was right. The review mentioned my wife's name and some other guy's name, praising them as "wonderful guests" and all. Can you imagine?

I don't need to spell out the obvious, but the likelihood of that weekend trip involving infidelity seemed pretty high to me. It hit me like a ton of bricks.

Of course, when my wife found out about the review, she went into full panic mode. She even tried to get Airbnb to remove it and change her name on the site. Talk about desperate measures. Eventually, realizing she couldn't erase the evidence, she ended up deleting her account entirely.

I had to confront her about it, and we ended up talking during a counseling session. She had this whole story prepared, claiming that the trip was initially planned with a coworker who happened to have a boyfriend. But apparently, the coworker's boyfriend, let's call him "guy's name," joined them since their car broke down or something. Supposedly, they all stayed together, but "guy's name" signed the guestbook, creating what she called a "totally honest mistake." Yeah, right.

Looking back, I'm pretty certain she was not telling the truth. The trust was shattered, and we ended up getting divorced.

3. The Old Military Wives’ Tale

This is a crazy story from my Navy days. So, I was out on a 6-month deployment right after getting engaged (yeah, one of those impulsive decisions young military guys make). Anyway, one day, I received a letter from my fiancee's best friend, and boy, did it rock my world.

Turns out, she caught my fiancee and her boyfriend together. It was before the era of email and smartphones, so we were relying on letters at that time. We exchanged multiple letters, and that's when all the details spilled out. My fiancee begged her friend not to spill the beans, and she had no clue that her bestie and I were in contact.

Finally, I returned to the States, and my initial plan was to act like I didn't know about the whole mess. But before I could even think of pulling that off, my buddies intercepted me and spilled the beans. Turns out, it wasn't just one guy; there were several involved. And to top it off, my fiancee knew that I was aware. Talk about a messed-up situation.

Eventually, we had a meeting, and surprisingly, the confrontation was pretty calm and low-key. We both agreed to end the engagement without a lot of drama, and she ended up keeping the ring.

Here's where the story takes an unexpected turn. Remember the best friend who spilled the truth? Well, we ended up hooking up. At first, it was a sort of revenge thing on both our parts, but then things got serious between us. Fast forward to this year, and we just celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary. Crazy how life works, right? After 20 years, everything blurs together, but the important thing is that we've found happiness and love.

So, my friend, never lose hope. Sometimes, when things fall apart, they pave the way for something even better. Trust me, I've lived it.

4. Chance Encounter

Sure, let me tell you about a situation I went through with my ex. So, my ex was really into drinking, but it just wasn't my thing. She would often go to this bar near our place with her friends, and I didn't really enjoy hanging out there with her drinking buddies. But one night, I was feeling a bit bored at home, so I decided to join her for a little while.

As I walked into the crowded bar, I immediately spotted my ex sitting at the bar with a couple. When our eyes met, there was this strange look on her face. Then, she turned to the guy sitting next to her, and he quickly got up and left.

Honestly, that moment felt off, but I tried to brush it off as me being overly suspicious. I stayed for about an hour and then headed back home. However, that strange feeling lingered, so I ended up checking one of my ex's friend's Facebook pages to see if there was any connection between her and that random guy. And guess what? I found out that he was friends with one of her friends.

Having this information confirmed that I wasn't just imagining things. However, I kept it to myself. Fast forward to the following weekend, my ex went out drinking again and didn't come home until 7 am. I had been trying to reach her all night, but she ignored all my calls and messages. When she finally got home, she hopped into the shower right away.

While she was showering, I made the tough decision to check her phone. And there it was, all the messages she had with the same guy, revealing some pretty telling information. At that moment, I packed a fresh set of clothes and headed straight to my best friend's house.

About 20 minutes later, as if on cue, my ex called me, freaking out about me leaving without any explanation. I couldn't help but laugh at her projection, and I calmly told her that if she hadn't moved out by Monday, I would involve the police to force her out.

Given that she wasn't on the lease and her parents lived just 10 minutes away from me, it was a clear-cut decision. And that's how things ended between us.

5. That Jacket Is Familiar

You know, it wasn't some dramatic moment that made me realize something was off in my relationship. It was actually a series of little things that started adding up. Like how she would constantly cancel plans at the last minute or those random phone calls she would get from unknown numbers (this was before spam calls took over), or that one night when I needed to reach her and her phone mysteriously turned off.

All these suspicions were swirling in my mind, but it finally clicked for me when I did some snooping on Instagram. I came across a guy who followed her, and he had posted a selfie wearing a very unique jacket that belonged to her. It was like a puzzle piece falling into place.

The next day, I mustered up the courage to confront her about it. Of course, she denied everything, tears streaming down her face, begging me to believe her. But something inside me knew I couldn't ignore the evidence. So, I made the difficult decision to end things and walked away.

Ironically, the day after our breakup, I reached out to that guy on Instagram and he confirmed everything. He had no clue that I even existed in her life. He too ended things with her after learning the truth.

Last I heard, she moved on and became an EMT in Wyoming. I genuinely hope she has learned from her mistakes and grown into a better person.

6. Karma Is Real

So, it was about four years ago when I was dating this girl. Everything seemed fine at first, but then she started getting distant and losing interest in the things we used to love doing together. I tried talking to her about it, but it only made things worse. She became even more distant and started avoiding hanging out with me. On top of that, she suddenly started working late all the time.

I couldn't help but become suspicious, especially when I noticed she was always glued to her phone. I tried bringing it up again, but she just didn't want to engage in the conversation. It was frustrating because she didn't want to break up either, for some unknown reason.

I was actually planning to end the relationship on my own, thinking it was for the best. But then, one weekend when she was conveniently unavailable, I got word from some mutual friends that they had seen her with a guy from her work. And let me tell you, they weren't just casually hanging out. They were all over each other.

Now here comes the crazy part. Around the same time, she had actually lent me her iPad, which happened to be synced to her phone. I stumbled upon a ton of messages between her and that guy. They were talking about running away together and all sorts of stuff. Unbelievable, right?

Now, get this. That guy turned out to be married to her supervisor. Talk about a juicy soap opera. Our mutual friends, who also happened to be her coworkers, couldn't keep this shocking revelation to themselves. They reported the whole mess to HR. And guess what? Both of them had to go through some intense training on not sleeping with coworkers. On top of that, they were both denied promotions. Oh, and as if things couldn't get any worse, the guy's wife ended up leaving him, and my ex-girlfriend fled the country.

At the time, I was absolutely devastated. It felt like my heart had been ripped out. But you know what? Karma hit them hard. And in a strange way, it brought me a bit of satisfaction.

7. He Called His Bluff

It was just another normal day on June 1, 2018 - a Friday. My husband had kissed me goodbye and headed off to work, and I was at home cleaning the house for some visitors arriving for the weekend. Suddenly, the doorbell rang, and I went to answer it.

That's when I met a man who said he was the husband of a woman my husband worked with. It was a complete shock when he told me that my husband and his wife were having an affair. Apparently, he had caught them in the act about six months earlier and had told his wife to end things. She did, or so he thought, for about three months, but then they started up again.

When he found out they were at it again, he didn't confront my husband in person, fearing legal trouble. Instead, he called him and warned him to leave his wife alone or else he would come and tell me everything. But apparently, my husband thought he was bluffing.

To my surprise, I was the last to find out about the affair. My husband never came back home. Instead, he went on to get an Airbnb and a lawyer. Eventually, we got divorced on December 21, 2018. It still hurts to think about it. After all, we had been together for 24 years.

8. Anniversary News

I recently met this medical resident during my rotation, and let me tell you, he's one of the nicest guys I've ever come across. Not only is he super intelligent and hardworking, but he's also on his way to becoming a trauma surgeon. Despite all his skills, he's as humble as they come. He has been married for two years to his wife.

So here's the heart-wrenching story. One night, after finishing a grueling 30-hour call, he decided to head home early to surprise his wife. It was their anniversary - the day they first met. He even got her flowers and her favorite dessert. But guess what? When he walked into their house, he found her in bed with some random dude. I can't even begin to imagine how devastated and confused he must have felt in that moment.

In his exhaustion and bewilderment, he didn't know what to do. So, he just left and went back to the hospital. I happened to see him around 5AM, sitting in the parking lot, completely hunched over and crying. It was truly heart-breaking to witness a grown man in that state. We immediately called his dad, who came to pick him up. Eventually, he had to take a leave from his residency because of everything that happened. And here's the kicker - turns out, this wasn't his wife's first time being unfaithful.

I really hope he can find a way to get back on his feet. He has all the qualities to become an amazing physician, and I truly believe in his potential. Life can be so tough sometimes, but I hope he doesn't let this experience crush his dreams.

9. Family Business

I was eight months pregnant with my second child when I found out my husband had been cheating on me with his best friend's wife. The worst part? It had been going on for a while.

So, my husband wanted to go visit his brother for the weekend, and I asked my doctor if it was safe for me to travel. She said it would be alright, so I told him I could go with him. But he said he really just wanted some quality time with his brother. I understood, but I asked if he could take our older son (who was three years old at the time) with him so he could see his grandma and cousins. However, he was worried about drinking and whatnot with his country boy friends, so I agreed to let him go without us.

Later on, I got a call from his best friend who wanted to meet up. He didn't know that my husband wasn't going to be around that weekend, so I had to tell him that he was out of town. However, his best friend seemed to react strangely and hung up on me suddenly. It all became clear when he called me back and spilled the beans. It turned out that he had caught my husband and his wife cheating a few months earlier. He had given them a chance to make things right and stop the affair, but they didn't listen. So, he threatened to tell me if they didn't put a stop to it.

I was absolutely floored by the news, especially since my husband's family had apparently known about it the whole time and never thought to tell me. I had been close to these people for five years, so it was a major betrayal. It's been almost a decade now, and thankfully, I'm in a much happier place. However, the whole experience was definitely an eye opener for me.

10. Anonymous Tip

So there I was, at work, minding my own business when out of nowhere, I receive this email with the subject "(Husband's Name's) wife." Can you imagine the shock I felt? Curiosity got the better of me, so I opened the email, and it revealed a name, saying that my husband was married to her. To get more details, the email instructed me to check Facebook.

I couldn't resist, so I logged onto Facebook to see what on earth was going on. And guess what? I was bombarded with a never-ending stream of pictures! There were so many pictures of this woman with my husband, it felt like they were taking over my feed. They were posing together, sometimes with her kids, and even with her entire family. It was mind-boggling.

I can't even begin to describe the mix of emotions that flooded over me. This whole incident happened on October 6th, 2017, just seven months after I faced a near-death experience from an ectopic pregnancy. And to think, we were still trying to have kids at that point. It felt like such a betrayal.

Once the work day was over, I went home and let me tell you, I went into full-on rampage mode. My husband was conveniently out of town, so I had all the time in the world to sort things out. I spent the entire weekend, Saturday and Sunday, tossing every single possession of his into the dumpster. It was liberating, to say the least.

About a month later, I made a decision to move on. I found a new apartment and decided to deliver the news of my divorce at that time. I wanted a fresh start, away from all the pain and deception. Little did I know, a few months later, he took his own life.

It has been a rollercoaster journey, but I'm slowly picking up the pieces and finding my way forward. Life can be so unexpectedly unpredictable.

11. Pictures Speak Louder Than Words

I was once in a really unhealthy relationship. He was emotionally abusive and it took a toll on my mental health.

When I went for an ultrasound to find out the gender of our child, I was scrolling through Facebook while waiting for my partner who was running late. That's when I saw it - photos on my news feed of him and another woman at a gig the previous weekend. They were all over each other and even making out in one photo. I was in shock.

My partner finally arrived and as the technician was printing ultrasound images, I confronted him about the photos. But he denied everything and accused me of making it up. It was so frustrating, especially when I showed him the evidence. He stormed out of the appointment and left me there.

Luckily, my dad had come with me and he took me home. At that point, I felt like our relationship was over and I cut off almost all contact with him except for texts related to our pregnancy.

Honestly, it was mostly a relief to know that I wasn't crazy and that my partner had really betrayed me. It was the push I needed to finally leave that toxic relationship.

12. She Told Me

It's crazy how I found out my ex was cheating on me. The girl he was cheating with actually reached out and told me.

I remember it so vividly - it was 3 in the morning when she messaged me. She asked if I was still with my ex, and I replied saying yes, he's asleep right next to me. And then she dropped the bombshell. She told me everything, sent me screenshots as proof. I couldn't believe it, but I needed to see it for myself. So, I grabbed his phone and started going through it. He didn't even bother hiding anything.

After going through all the evidence, I went back to the room and threw something at him to wake him up. I confronted him about the cheating, but of course, he played dumb. He acted like he didn't know who I was talking about and all that nonsense. So, I decided to pull out his phone from my pocket and showed it to him.

The look on his face was priceless. Deep down, he knew it was over.

I couldn't control myself. I screamed at him, unleashed a storm of insults, and then he just left the house. That was about a year ago. And then, a few months later, I started hearing that he missed me. How pathetic, right? It just added insult to injury. I had completely uprooted my life, moved across the country to be with this guy, and this is how it all ended.

13. Missed Birthday

Let me tell you about the day before I turned 18. My boyfriend, he had this plan, right? We were going to take a drive in Sparky, that’s his Mazda pickup, and head south to some big city for food and a whole evening out.

Everything was cool at school, just a regular day. I get home, it’s around 3:30 pm, and I start waiting for him. I tried calling, but got nothing. By 9:30 or 10, I was like, "Okay, this isn’t happening."

I hop on the computer and guess what? A friend tells me he’s at another friend’s house. Now, this girl, we’re both friends with her, but her home life? Total mess. Her parents are the worst, and she's been talking about getting out of there with her little brother.

I was so ticked off, I took my mom’s car, drove over, and there they were, going at it on the living room couch. I couldn’t believe it.

I went straight home, told my mom he was banned from the house, and that I wasn’t taking his calls. I was just done for the day, told her I’d deal with it in the morning. I was really into this early sleep routine then.

Next morning, he shows up like it’s any other day, tries to hug me, and I’m just not having it. He's all confused, asking what’s up, so I told him straight: “You missed my birthday night out because you wanted to get your ding dong wet in so-and-so's woman parts.”

Then he starts accusing me of stalking him, cheating, calls me a controlling b-word, and tries to gaslight me. I told him, that’s it, we’re done.

I just told our mutual friends we split over some disagreements. But that girl? She goes around school saying she's a better lay than me.

So yeah, that’s how that went down.

14. You Got Mail

I was dating this girl for like two years. We were pretty serious, even started talking about moving in together around the 18-month mark. But then, out of the blue, she changes - becomes distant, irritable. We couldn't make it work, so we broke up.

Now, fast forward three months after the breakup, I'm on Facebook and discover this hidden section where messages from non-friends are. And man, what I found... turns out my then-girlfriend had been hooking up with her ex and the UPS driver who delivered to her store at the mall.

She eventually got together with the UPS guy, who had three kids. Last I heard, they're pretty miserable, and honestly, it's a little satisfying every time I think about it. But get this – in those hidden messages was a note from the UPS driver's then-wife! Yeah, my ex didn't just cheat on me; she also broke up a marriage.

15. Long Distance Relationships

So, here's the deal. My first serious girlfriend and I had this plan to go to the same college. I got in, but I had to start a semester later than she did, so we were kinda doing this long-distance thing for a bit. Not too bad though, just 2 hours apart, pretty easy to visit each other. But yeah, things got a bit rocky.

There was this one night, right? I get this phone call from her, and I realize it's a butt dial. I can hear her chatting with some guy, but I couldn't really catch what they were saying. So, I call her up, and she’s like, "I'm in bed about to go to sleep."

I mention the butt dial, and she tells me it was just her friend Jack, who I'd met, asking to borrow something. It felt weird, but I let it slide.

Couple weeks later, I'm up at her college, meet some cool folks, including this guy Luke. After I head back home, Luke sends me this Facebook message: "Look man I hate to be the one to say this, but I think you're an awesome guy and you don't deserve this to be happening to you. She's been cheating on you with this guy pretty soon after she started here."

Man, I was gutted. But I had to hear it from her, you know? So, I call her and ask, "Are you cheating on me?" And she just lets out this heavy sigh and says, "Well, at least I don't have to lie anymore."

Turns out, that voice I heard wasn't Jack, but the guy she was cheating with. I had trusted her so much I just believed her.

Even though it hurt, I'm actually grateful to Luke for telling me. And the funny thing? Most of her friends I met, they ended up siding with me after we split. So, when I finally started college there, I already had this group of friends backing me up. And most of them, they're still close friends of mine today.

16. Sixth Sense

This one day at work, I tried calling my boyfriend. But he's not picking up, hours go by, and I start getting this awful gut feeling. I was so stressed out, I even started crying, and my boss was like, "Just go home."

The whole drive back, I had this intense sense of dread. I get home, walk into my bedroom, and there he is, half-dressed, with some naked girl in bed. Huge fight breaks out, obviously.

And after things calm down a bit, this jerk has the nerve to tell me, "I went to the movies alone and met her there and she 'followed me home.'" I mean, even if I believed this random person just followed you and got naked, you still let it happen. So why even say that?

It was a super abusive relationship, and the crazy part? I didn't even break up with him right then and there, though I wish I had. If there’s one thing I'd change about my life, it's that I wish I'd dumped him sooner. But hey, that was over ten years ago now!

17. Repeat Offender

This whole mess started last December, just before we were set to visit my family for the holidays. She was acting weird, you know, distant, snappy. I had this gut feeling something was up. I'm not proud of it, but I ended up snooping on her iWatch.

Found some dodgy texts with a friend, and I just had to confront her in January. She admits to kissing a guy from work, that's all. Our relationship was shaky, and I decided to forgive her. We agreed to work on our issues.

But then, fast forward to this May, and she just breaks down, saying she wasn't honest before, and that she actually slept with the guy. We split after that bombshell.

We'd been together 8 years, engaged for nearly 2. We were supposed to get married *yesterday*. It's tearing me up, man. I'm just lost, don’t even know where to go from here.

18. The Wedding’s Obviously Off

I was in this relationship for 6 years. And we were about to get married when everything just fell apart because I found out she cheated on me...

See, about two years into the relationship with my then-fiancée, I started noticing these weird little things. Like, the biggest red flag was when some condoms went missing from my drawer. I confronted her, all sad, angry, and confused. She totally denied having an affair.

Fast forward 4 years, just a month before our wedding, and she finally breaks down. Admits she slept with her ex because she was feeling down and just wanted to feel something else. Man, that shattered my heart.

To top it off, I was in the middle of a crazy work day at home and had to push through with all that on my mind; definitely not fun. I always had this nagging feeling she was lying to me over the years. Plus, she was super jealous of all my female friends, like she was projecting or something...

It really hurt knowing she cheated, but what hurt even more was her lying for four years and still planning our wedding like nothing was wrong. I'm grateful, though, that she told me before we tied the knot. We called off the wedding because of the trust issues and a bunch of other stuff. We met young, so it's not a huge shock things didn't work out.

I do think she was dealing with some heavy emotional stuff from her past, so I don't take it too personally. I wish her the best. But I had to cut off all communication with her. Just couldn't trust her after all that.

But hey, all's well that ends well, right? I've met the love of my life since then, and we're planning to get married soon.

19. I Was The Homewrecker

I was in this 6-year-long relationship and we were almost at the aisle when bam! I find out she cheated on me.

So, rewind to like two years in with my ex-fiancée. Things started getting sketchy. The moment that really got me? Condoms disappeared from my drawer. I asked her about it, feeling this mix of sadness, anger, and total confusion. But she straight-up denied messing around.

Jump four years ahead, we're a month from our wedding, and she just breaks down. Turns out, she hooked up with her ex because she was feeling low and needed a pick-me-up. Man, that just broke my heart.

The icing on the cake? This all went down while I was swamped with work from home. Trying to focus with that bombshell? Not a fun time. I'd always had this hunch she was fibbing over the years. And her jealousy over my girlfriends? Total projection.

Finding out about the cheating stung, but the lying for four years and planning our wedding like nothing was up? That stung more. I'm kinda glad she spilled before we got hitched. So yeah, we called off the wedding – trust was out the window, and we had other issues too. We were young when we met, so not a huge surprise it didn't work.

I think she was battling some serious personal demons, so I don't hold it against her. I wish her well, but no way could I keep talking to her. Trust was totally gone.

But hey, life has a funny way of working out. I've met someone amazing since then, and guess what? We're getting hitched soon!

20. Crazy Coincidence

Okay, so this wild story happened way back in the early 90's, before the internet was everywhere. The world felt huge back then. My fiancée, Meg, had one last semester of college which was basically an internship abroad for her major. She picked Belgium for this gig. Meanwhile, I stayed back with plans to set up our future home. The idea was she'd come back in the summer, move in, and we'd pick our wedding date.

While Meg was off in Europe, we'd chat every couple of weeks (long distance calls cost a fortune then), and she'd send me postcards and letters. During that time, I got busy moving into a brownstone, buying furniture, and all that.

Now, get this: about two weeks before Meg was due back, I decided to check out this coffee house I'd noticed down my street but never visited. And who do I bump into? My old neighbor, Claire, from a totally different city, working there as a waitress.

We hadn't seen each other since high school, so we figured, why not catch up? After her shift, we grabbed a coffee and got talking. Claire tells me she's also engaged, to a guy named Ben. And here's the kicker: Ben was also in Belgium, doing his own internship.

Photo: Unsplash

A couple days after our coffee catch-up, I dropped by the café again and saw Claire looking super upset. She asked if I could hang around because she needed to talk. Once she was on break, we stepped outside, and she dropped this bombshell on me.

So, her Aunt Sue had just gotten back from Czechoslovakia, and guess what happened in Prague? Sue bumped into Claire’s fiancé, Ben, in a hotel lobby... and he wasn't alone. He was with a girl named Meg. Sue said it was mega awkward; they looked like deer caught in headlights.

Claire was obviously shaken. She told me she called Ben in Belgium and, after a bunch of attempts, finally got him on the phone. When she brought up this wild coincidence, he sort of saw it coming and confessed he’d been seeing Meg pretty much the whole time they were in Europe, going on trips together and all.

I was stunned. Totally couldn't believe it.

I rushed home and started calling Meg’s dorm in Belgium. Finally got through to her late at night. I just straight-up asked her if she was dating Ben, didn’t even explain how I knew. She tried to dodge it at first, acting like I was nuts, but when I mentioned knowing Claire, she dropped the act and admitted everything.

Homecoming was rough for Ben and Meg. Claire had already tossed all of Ben’s stuff on the front lawn the day she found out, so by the time he got back two weeks later, it was pretty much picked over. I did pick Meg up from the airport, but only because I wanted to see her face when I told her that all our friends knew what she did and that I never wanted to see her again.

To this day, I'm still amazed at the crazy chain of coincidences that led to Meg and Ben getting caught. They did get married, but then divorced after he cheated on her. The universe sure works in wild and mysterious ways.

21. Mr. Worldwide

I had this feeling, you know. He was meant to be out of town, but suddenly he's back early, just grabs his bag, and dashes out. Hardly even says bye to me or the kids. And we're up on the fifth floor, so I peek out the window and there he is, getting into some woman's car. I could tell because of her sunroof. And the guard's face? Priceless!

Later on, this lady calls me, totally upset. She's like, "I'm his fiance." Turns out she works for the airline and discovered he was flying with another woman. Yep, the same one from the car.

So, I follow my gut and find this receipt in his briefcase. It's from this super fancy store. I head over there with the kids, one’s a toddler, the other’s in a stroller. I cook up some story about why I need to know what was bought. Stuff was mega expensive, and I wasn't even allowed to buy clothes for myself.

Remember, we're in this Asian country, expats and all. This store was top-tier, keeping handwritten records and all. They check the receipt and go, "Oh yes, Mr. Z, he was here with his Thai wife." Then she looks at me, pauses, and her face just drops. She's like, "I'm so sorry." And I'm like, "It's okay."

I thought he was here with his Singaporean girlfriend.

The airline lady, I think she's got two kids with him. The Singaporean lady went on to have two kids with him too. And the Thai lady had one with him. All younger than our two.

And get this, I'm walking through a hotel, and bam, I catch him having breakfast with the woman from the trip. Another time, they just drive past me in his car. Unbelievable, right?

Photo: Unsplash

So, I also stumble upon this trust document, totally bogus by the way, that he whipped up for the Singaporean lady, pretending to add her to our family trust.

Keep in mind, I hadn’t been in the states for a decade. No driver's license, no bad credit, just zero credit. Not a penny to my name. Couldn't even return to my old job because technology had changed so much. And there I was, with an 18-month-old and a three-year-old, trying to figure out how to escape this mess. I was secretly packing bags, stashing them away, wracking my brain on how to get back to the States without any cash or cards.

Out of the blue, he gets this brilliant idea that I should visit my parents and buys me a one-way ticket. I was pretty sure he had no plans to let me come back, which honestly was fine by me.

He ends up marrying the Singaporean lady but, surprise surprise, cheats on her the entire time. I’m talking about being engaged to another woman for 4 years while still with her. And after conning that poor woman out of loads of money, he just dumps her. Now he’s in some other country, married again with two kids, and still hasn’t divorced the Singaporean lady. In fact, I don’t even think they were legally married since he married her before we were officially divorced.

By the way, it took me seven long years to divorce this guy.

The most awkward dinner? That’s easy. It was when our oldest graduated from grad school. He shows up in the states with this woman he’d been engaged to for 4 years while still married to his second wife, who he married while still technically married to me. You keeping up? Anyway, this woman was a super high-up government official, really sharp. I actually liked her. On the way to dinner, my daughter’s explaining to her friend, "So we're going to dinner with my dad who cheated on my mom with the woman we are trying to keep secret from his girlfriend who we were having dinner with."

Oh, and there’s more. When our youngest was 10 months, he wanted a getaway to fix things, so off to Hong Kong we go. We flew separately because, well, he claimed he had a meeting. I later realized we flew separately probably because he was messing around with most of the flight attendants. I get to the hotel first and check-in. The front desk greets me with, "Welcome back Mrs. Z! I saw you and Mr. Z here with us last week as well." Yeah, about that... that was the other Mrs. Z...

And if all that wasn’t enough, he even gave me an STD when I was pregnant with our second baby.

Yep, those are just some of the highlights!

22. Accidental Spy

So, get this - I accidentally caught my ex cheating. We were working late one night, and due to some mix-up with the building, I couldn’t get into my office. He let me in so I could print something out. He then took off for a walk to get his “steps” in.

While I was using his computer, I noticed he was logged into Facebook. Something just felt off. I peeked into his messages and there it was - he’d been chatting up some woman he met through work in another country. I quickly copied everything I could and braced myself for when he got back.

When he did, I confronted him and demanded he take me out for a drink. Over drinks, I told him straight up, there’d be no making up. He looked totally shell-shocked as I told him to go home and pack his bags. That was six months ago, and honestly, I’m so glad I ditched that dead weight.

The guy was a piece of work, emotionally abusive and all. I stuck to my vows, tried to help him, even reorganized my whole life around him.

Leading up to this, he had some really weird behavior, like getting a “work call” from a woman during our family vacation. And in those texts, he talked about wanting to have an affair with her. They'd been meeting up for like two years, even spent a whole month together in her country once.

So yeah, it was cheating, and not just some harmless flirting or emotional stuff.

23. Public Embarrassment

Alright, so I kinda knew my ex had been playing around before, but honestly, I wasn't too into him, so it didn't sting that much. But one night, while I was bartending, this drunk girl comes up to me, squints a bit and then shouts, “Oh my friend is sleeping with your husband!”. Talk about a bombshell, right?

So, what did I do? Marched straight into the beer keg cooler with a bottle of vodka. Took a few shots to steady myself and then got back to work like nothing happened.

I kept it to myself for a few months. Had to plan my next steps, you know? Plus, I had three kiddos to consider. Eventually, I packed up, took my kids, and headed back home to Texas. Got myself a divorce.

And guess what? Now, I'm engaged to my childhood best friend. We're gonna tie the knot in Yosemite next year. He's like the total opposite of my ex – kind, supportive, and just plain loving.

So yeah, goodbye and good riddance to that sasquatch-looking cheater!

24. Big Spender

So, my boyfriend asked me to find something on his computer. I was kinda fumbling around, waiting for him to give me better directions, when I noticed this message pop up in the corner about some girl missing him or something. Got me curious. Then she sent a picture. Strange, right? So, I clicked on it.

Turns out, through Facebook, he's been chatting with over 100 women. All sending him body pics or thanking him for cash. I'm like, excuse me?

I did some more snooping and found a link to this money-sending site, kinda like PayPal. Checked the history and, whoa, four pages of transactions, 20 each.

We've been together for 15 years, have a kid, and I'm on disability while he doesn't work. And this guy has sent over $500 for nudes. That's more than half of what I make in a month.

I'm totally fuming. I've even told him before, "watch porn, talk to other women, I don't care." But he's been lying straight to my face, saying he's never talked to anyone, while he's been doing it all along.

And get this, the cherry on top: we broke up, I got cancer, he moved back in, and he's been doing all this for over 7 years.

25. Everybody Needs A Friend

So, I was working at my pub one night, and I get this call on the work phone from my best buddy. I usually don’t pick up my phone when I'm working, but this seemed urgent. He had some crazy news.

Turns out, after grabbing drinks with his work pals, he came home and found my now ex-girlfriend in bed with some other dude. My friend, totally wasted, wasn’t having it. He ended up chucking this naked Indian guy down the stairs and then gave him a bit of a beating at the bottom.

I dashed back from work as fast as I could, and yep, there were cops at our door. They had the Indian guy in the back of the police car, wearing just his boxers and handcuffs, getting checked by a medic. Meanwhile, my mate was chilling in the living room chatting with another officer. They let him off with just a caution since it was an “understandable” reaction, even though he was drunk. Honestly, I'm just really glad my buddy still lives with me, 'cause otherwise, I would’ve never found out about any of this.

26. Something’s Off

So, my girl was acting super weird the whole time I was visiting. When she hopped in the shower, I couldn’t help it, I peeked at her phone. There’s a whole backstory, but let’s just stick to the main points.

I was totally shocked by what I found on her phone. Texted my sis and a buddy who lives three time zones away. Showed them the deal. Both said I should bail, like, right now. So, I started throwing my stuff together. Next thing I know, she’s there, asking me what’s up. I’m half-dressed, standing there with one shoe on, totally spaced out.

I finally told her we needed to chat. Just asked her straight up, "What the heck’s going on with us?" and why she was so distant. She kinda shrugged, blamed it on me, saying I was overthinking stuff. Then she swore everything was fine.

Despite what I saw on her phone, I wanted to believe her. But then, my friend texted me super early, checking in. Told them the sitch, and they were like, "Dude, you’re being played, get out of there." So, I packed up the rest while she was still snoozing. Wasn’t exactly thrilled about the 5-hour drive home.

Before I left, I had to tell her. "I saw what was in your phone with your ex. I snooped. I’m not proud. But I can’t be here anymore." She didn’t say much. Just hugged me. I can still remember how warm she felt. And then, I was out of there.

27. Huge Embarrassment

So, I was in college when this went down. I was seeing this girl for around 5 months. Everything seemed pretty great. We’d even met each other's parents. One night, I asked her to come over, but she said she had to study. I was like, "Okay, no biggie."

Then, a bit later, a couple of my buddies hit me up, wanting to hang out on campus. I wasn’t feeling it, so I passed. They called again, saying there was something at a frat party I just had to see. I wasn’t into it and said no. They wouldn’t give up, so they were like, "Fine, we’ll send pics." I didn’t think much of it until the next morning.

Turns out, they saw my girlfriend at the party with another guy. Realizing she was cheating, my bros came up with a wild plan. They rushed home, grabbed their super soakers, and filled them with all sorts of nasty stuff like urine, lemon juice, milk, olive oil—anything that would squirt and stink. They seriously went all out, dressing in black suits, dark sunglasses, and white shirts.

They rolled up to the frat house with their neon super soakers loaded with this gross concoction. They declared they were there to "extract a cheating girlfriend" and give her a lesson. And man, they did just that.

They grabbed her and the guy, who wasn’t even part of the frat, and hauled them out in front of like 30-40 people. Everyone knew this was something they couldn’t miss. My buddies unloaded almost all their tanks on her and the guy. The dude bolted, and she just sat there, crying.

Back when I was in college, something wild happened. I'd been dating this girl for about 5 months, and it seemed like things were going pretty well. We were at the point where she'd met my parents, and I'd met hers. So, one evening, I invited her over to hang out, but she said she had to hit the books. I was chill about it.

Later that night, some of my friends called me up, wanting to hang around campus. I wasn’t really in the mood, so I turned them down. But then they called again, insisting that there was something at a frat party I just couldn't miss. I still wasn't keen and said no. They were persistent, though, and finally gave up, saying they’d send photos. I didn’t really think much about it until the next morning.

Here’s the kicker: they saw my girlfriend at this party, cozying up with another dude. My friends realized she was cheating and hatched this insane plan. They dashed home, grabbed their super soakers, and filled them with all sorts of nasty stuff - we're talking urine, lemon juice, milk, olive oil, basically anything that would squirt and smell awful. They went all in, donning black suits, dark sunglasses, and white shirts.

They stormed the frat house with their neon-colored super soakers, full of that gross mix. They announced they were there to nab a "cheating girlfriend" and teach her a lesson. And boy, did they ever.

They grabbed her and the guy, who wasn’t even a member of that frat, and dragged them outside in front of a crowd of like 30-40 people who knew they were about to witness something unforgettable. My friends sprayed almost all of their tanks on her and the guy. The guy took off running, and she was just left there, crying.

28. A Secret To Hide

So, I was working like crazy, pulling 18 to 20-hour days almost every day of the week. Meanwhile, she started acting super distant, even though she wasn't really contributing to work or our marriage. Always glued to her phone, you know?

I got curious and checked our phone records. One number was popping up way too much. When I asked to see her phone, she handed it over, thinking I was just gonna check Facebook. But when I tried to open her messages, she snatched the phone and bolted.

I had a backup phone, and since we used SIM cards, I got a new one for her line from AT&T. Turns out all her accounts were linked to that number, so I did some digging. Man, you name it – Tinder, POF, Nude Snapchats, hidden FB messages, she had profiles on every dating app.

It turned out she'd been trash-talking me for years to her friends and family, saying all sorts of negative stuff. Felt like a massive betrayal. We tried to patch things up, but trust was shot. I even put a keystroke logger on her phone, and sure enough, months later, she was back to her old tricks.

I miss my kids like crazy, but I'm in a better place now. Got sober, tackled my depression, and I’m doing okay financially, emotionally, and physically. Looking back, it was probably the best thing that could have happened.

29. Ruined Vacation

So, I was in Florida, vacationing with my girlfriend of 6 years, our four-year-old son, her family, and a few of her friends. She spent the afternoon snapping pics on the beach with her phone. We got back to our place, and everyone was busy in the kitchen, cooking up dinner. I grabbed her phone to send the beach photos to my family.

While scrolling through her texts, I stumbled upon her ex’s name. Opened it up, and bam, there were videos of them doing... let’s just say, very private stuff. I couldn’t help it, I yelled, “What the heck is this?” Her mom looked over, asking what’s up, and I just blurted out what I saw.

She tried to explain, saying she went out, got drunk, invited him for a drink, and ended up doing coke all night. Then, she claimed she got blackout drunk again the next night and sent those videos, insisting that was the only time she saw him.

But, of course, when she fell asleep, I had to check her phone again. Turned out she’d met him multiple times over the last two months. Found photos of them together, looking all cozy, like they were on dates.

Her brother and dad were furious. They left first thing the next morning. The whole thing just ruined the vacation for everyone and pretty much wrecked our family.

30. No Fairytale Ending

So, there I was at Disney, with the kids, on day 2 of this epic 7-day family trip. Her dad had been hyping this up for like 7 years, promising to take us all to Disney when the kids hit 7. And seven years on, here we were.

We'd been together for over a decade by then. Had a great job, a house, a bunch of kids - the whole American Dream deal. Life was sweet. Then, on night 2 of this dream vacation, I picked up her phone to set an alarm. And man, the texts I saw. So many of them.

I was so angry, I had to step out. I called the number and some dude answers, all sleepy-like, saying, "...Hello darling... I'm glad to hear from you...". I felt like the world was falling apart. It was like stepping into an alternate, darker reality. All I could think was, "...from this point on, everything that I have known about my life, is going to change."

31. DND

So, I was up in the NC mountains, tackling this insane 105-mile bike race. It was the toughest one I'd ever done, but I managed to place pretty high. My wife was supposed to pick me up at my friend’s place afterward.

I kept calling her to share my results and tell her when we'd be back, but she never picked up. In the end, my buddy had to drop me home. My youngest daughter was there alone, saying she’d been trying to call her mom but couldn’t reach her. She even called the friend my wife was supposed to be with, but she claimed she didn’t know anything.

When my wife finally got home, she tried to brush it off with some excuse. But I confronted her, and she spilled the beans. Turned out, she’d been cheating on me for two years, even had the guy over when I was at work. And that was 14 years into our marriage.

Fast forward, I’ve been single for 4 years now. Honestly, I’m pretty happy. My daughters are living with me, and my ex is still with that same guy. They've been together four years after our split, which is two years into our marriage. So, they’ve had quite the run.

32. He’s Just A Relative

I found out my high school girlfriend was cheating on me in the most messed-up way. See, I'm from Ohio, and she lived in Pennsylvania. We met because her dad and best friend lived near me, so we started this long-distance thing.

Her aunt passed away, so I took off work and drove her cousin and me to Pennsylvania for the funeral. We got there, and everyone was gathering at her aunt’s place. As soon as I walked in, I saw her hugging this dude. She was like, "Don't worry, he's my cousin I haven't seen in a couple of years." I was cool with it, totally got it.

The next day at the funeral home, she was acting really distant, pretty much ignoring me. But every time I found her, she was hanging out with this "cousin" guy. I thought maybe she was just upset about her aunt.

Then her cousin, the one I drove over with, asked me to grab his phone from my car. And man, that’s when I saw it. She was in my backseat, giving her "Cousin" head. Like, seriously? She cheated on me with a guy she said was her cousin, right there in the funeral home parking lot, at her aunt’s funeral, in my car.

33. He Swore They Were Just Friends

I used to deliver the local paper with my neighbor. We lived in this apartment complex shaped like a hollow square, with a courtyard smack in the middle. She lived with her family on the ground floor, and my husband and I, along with our two tiny kids, were right above them.

There was this woman living across the courtyard. My husband was hanging out with her a lot, especially after her hubby took off for a fishing job in Alaska. He kept saying they were just friends.

One night, around 2 am, my neighbor and I were out on our delivery route and needed to stop by our apartments, which was unusual, so nobody expected us back for hours.

We get there, and I head up to my place. First thing I notice? My two little ones, both under 5, are asleep and all alone. I thought maybe my husband was downstairs with the neighbor’s hubby, something he did often. But nope, he wasn’t there.

I just knew it. I spun around and stared straight at her apartment. Marched over there, banged on her door like crazy. No answer. I went around back, banged on her bedroom window, shouting the whole time. Then back to the front, banging on her door until she finally opened up.

I could see straight through to the bedroom. There was my husband, pulling up his pants, and they both looked like they just woke up.

I was more ticked off that he left our kids alone while he was snoozing in some other woman’s bed. That’s what I yelled at him, telling him to get back to our kids.

Then, I just turned around, caught up with my neighbor, and went back to work. He denied anything happened, just that they "fell asleep" hanging out. Yeah, right, jerk!

But let me tell you, I eventually got my revenge on that woman.

34. He Thought He Covered His Tracks

My ex thought he was slick, deleting texts and all. I’m not the type to snoop around his phone, but something felt off. He was acting weird, always hiding his phone, and staying late at work. Hurt? Sure, but I was mostly mad at myself for being so naive to date him.

I’d been warned he was trouble, but nope, I thought I could change him. Spoiler alert: I ended up hurt, just like everyone said.

When I confronted him, asking for some kind of explanation, he tried to wiggle out of it, lying straight to my face. I was having none of that. I told him straight up, “get the heck out of my house,” and guess what? He did. But then he took it to Twitter, saying some really personal stuff about me. It was a rough patch, not gonna lie, especially when I hadn’t done anything wrong.

But hey, I bounced back, found the guts to apply for this job at a bigger company a few hours away, and ended up moving to the big city. That’s where I met my now hubby.

Fast forward a couple of years, I’m just starting to date my now husband, and guess who pops up? My ex, trying to patch things up, saying he missed me. I hit ignore so fast, and man, did it feel good to shut him down.

In a weird way, I’m thankful for all that drama. It pushed me forward, made me take chances I wouldn’t have otherwise. Without that mess, I might not have gone for that job, wouldn’t have left my hometown, and probably wouldn’t have met my husband. Life’s funny like that, things just have a way of working out.

35. Lights Out

My bro was chilling at a small get-together with a couple of pals and his wife. He was beat and wanted to head home, but his wife wasn’t feeling it. She gave some flimsy excuse and stayed back. No biggie, he thought, his best friend was there and would make sure she got home okay.

So, he hops in his car, pulls out, but before he's even down the street, he glances in the rearview and notices the room they were all in had gone dark.

He'd had this nagging suspicion about his wife for a while. They had a kid together, but tragically, she passed away at the sitter's. It was SIDS. After that, his wife just became more distant. He didn’t want to believe she could do something sketchy, but something felt off. They never really dealt with their loss together, you know?

Seeing the lights out like that, it clicked for him. He did a U-turn and headed back. The house was all dark, front door still open. He walked straight in, headed for the only lit room. And there he finds his so-called best friend and some other dude with his wife.

Needless to say, he’s been kinda off since that night...

36. She Came Back Too Soon

I was just back from helping a buddy who'd just had a baby. I get home, see my husband's car, and I'm like "hey babe, I'm home! Hellooo?" But nada. Place is lit up, dishes everywhere. Kinda odd.

I'm heading down the hallway to our bedroom, getting kinda worried, when suddenly he pops out stark naked, all casual with a "heyyy!" As if all's cool. For a second, I thought he's just goofing around, maybe missed me a ton, right? But then I spot her, through the bedroom door, in our bed, trying to cover up. And she's this younger coworker of his, someone I even knew.

I just froze, heart pounding. Eventually, I walked back down the hallway to confront him, ask the obvious stuff. The dude's clearly hammered, which wasn’t exactly new for him. He starts with, "I thought you'd be cool with it" - like, seriously? Then he's there, in our kitchen, no clothes on, trying to tell me, "oh, you think I had intercourse with her?! No, no. I didn't sleep with her. No."

(And yeah, he totally did.)

I was beyond words, just had to get out for a bit. Coming back didn’t make things better. Turns out, he just got drunk and lost track of the day I was returning.

The kicker? I even gave her a lift home. And even worse? I stayed, trying to fix things for another two years.

Seriously, learn from my mistake — cheaters don’t change.

37. Right Under His Nose

I found out my wife was messing around with my brother-in-law (yeah, my sister's husband). One of my sisters' husbands spilled the beans. He'd been sitting on this secret for like 4-8 weeks, couldn't take the guilt anymore.

The whole mess started unfolding, and I pieced together that my wife and brother-in-law had this thing for about 4-6 months, right after we lost our first child. They kept it hush-hush for about 4 years.

Finally, my brother-in-law cracks, tells my sister (the other one getting cheated on). Instead of freaking out, she decides to protect her cheating hubby. She goes and tells 3 of my other sisters about it back in May 2014, trying to make my wife look like the villain (which, to be fair, she was). She swears them to secrecy, saying she needed their support to deal with her feelings. Sure.

Then sister #5 and her hubby find out in September-October 2014. I'm still in the dark. My brother-in-law, being the genius he is, lets it slip to them.

They sit on it for weeks. Meanwhile, my sister decides she's going to tell my 89-year-old grandpa and my parents before confronting my wife.

Just two days before she's supposed to confront my wife, my grandpa passes away out of the blue, last week of November 2014.

So, all six of us siblings and our spouses head to the wake/funeral. By some weird twist, I end up sitting right in front of my clueless brother-in-law. There's crying, hugging, and he's giving me the whole "I'm sorry for your loss, brother" spiel. Everyone else knows what's up, they know I don't, and they're shocked watching this guy act all sympathetic to my face.

Now, here's the kicker: they're all worried because they know I carry a gun. They think I'm gonna lose it and shoot the guy when I find out. (I wouldn't, but I get their concern.) So my dad lays down the law before I show up, saying this is not coming out during the funeral.

The funeral goes by, and the next few days at my parents' house are just super awkward. Every time I walk into a room, it's like someone sucked the life out of it. My sisters would just stop talking and stare at me. It got so weird, I bailed early, totally confused.

I drive a few hours back home, tell my wife all about it. She acts like she doesn't know anything. Then she drops that she's pregnant (with our third). A few days later, in December, I'm out Christmas shopping for her, and I get this cryptic text from sister #5's husband. It wasn't much, but it was enough to get me digging.

And that's the crazy story of how I found out my SO was cheating on me.

38. AWOL

So, me and my high school sweetheart, we'd been together like seven years. Did the whole college thing together, worked together – we were pretty much joined at the hip, 20 hours a day. Then I joined the military. Not a single letter from her, nada. Only my mom wrote to me.

In the first two weeks out of thirteen at boot camp, I actually started thinking she'd died and everyone was just keeping it from me to spare me the stress.

Then, bam! She's at my graduation. She was kinda cold and distant, but I figured she was just getting over some substance issues. I stayed with her for ten days before my training, instead of chilling with my mom, but she was barely around.

She said she was juggling two jobs and school. Tried to be cool and understanding, but then she didn't come home one night. We parted on weird terms, but she was like, "I'm just sad to see you go."

A few weeks into training, my family and girlfriend come to visit. It was a great three days. As they're dropping me off, I get this call from a buddy. He's all, "I'm so sorry, man." Turns out, she told him I broke up with her when I left, so I could have guilt-free flings, which was supposedly what I always wanted.

Her sister found out we were still together from some text she saw. My buddy felt terrible about the whole thing, apologized like crazy. Before, I thought he was a jerk, but this was really stand-up behavior.

She denied everything, of course. I did something kinda sketchy – pulled the texts from our shared account (yeah, back when that was a thing). Her new boyfriend even offered to send them to me. With the texts in hand, she still played innocent. Anyway, we both moved on. She's married to him now.

39. A Barrel of Misfortune

So I was out in Texas for navy training, right? My wife's calling me non-stop, all anxious and depressed 'cause we're apart. It was only supposed to be for 3 months.

Then, a month in, I get this call from my neighbor back home. My wife tried to off herself, and the neighbor had to call 911. I totally freaked out, went UA – basically ditched the military without permission. They were not happy, but I was losing it and just didn't care.

When I got back, my wife was acting super weird, super insecure. Always checking up on me. I suggested she should chill at her parents’ place for a bit, clear her head, and we could try to work things out slow after her suicide attempt.

Her folks saw we were struggling, so they sent us to Vegas, all expenses paid. They thought it would be a good "getaway," help us find that spark again.

In Vegas, I get this call from my parents. They're like, "We need to talk, swing by when you're back." I asked what's up, but they didn’t want to chat about it over the phone.

Meanwhile, my wife and I, we get matching tattoos in Vegas. Our initials on our ring fingers. Thought it might help her feel secure, show her how much I loved her, y'know?

We wrap up the Vegas trip all happy, thinking we're gonna make it. I head to my parents' place with my wife as they asked.

And there, my parents, all calm, tell my wife in front of me that they know she's been cheating. She tries to deny it before they even finish. They're like, "We know for a fact, so please don’t lie."

She tried to deny it again, but that moment, I swear, felt like I was underwater and everything was in slow-mo. Time just kinda froze.

I cut her off and was like, "Look, if you’re honest, maybe we can work it out. But if you lie and this is all true, we're done." And yeah, she admitted to cheating.

Turns out, she met some guy on Craigslist just a week after I left for training. They hooked up in a Walmart parking lot during her lunch break, right in his car. Then she goes back to work and can't help but spill the beans to her work buddy.

So, my wife worked at my brother's law firm, right? He had to let someone go, and it was the coworker my wife confided in. When he broke the news to her, she threw my wife under the bus, trying to save her own job.

My bro couldn’t tell me himself, so he called our parents. That's when I got that call from my parents while I was in Vegas.

I ditched my dream job as a navy corpsman for a cheater, got a tattoo of a cheater's initials on my ring finger, and my grandpa passed away on my birthday, just a day before I found out about the cheating. Life was pretty rough for a bit.

But hey, I did recently stay at a Holiday Inn Express. So, there's that...which is nice.

The coworker kept her job. My brother had her call my ex while we were in Vegas, telling her she was fired. My ex acted like she didn’t care, which was kinda weird and worrying 'cause she was well-liked.

Ended up getting that tattoo lasered off. Cost a ton and hurt like heck. Still got a scar, though.

40. Caught On Camera

I've got this friend we'll call Jim. Jim used to date this hippie girl who was all about homemade shampoo and avoiding "toxins." She was a real free spirit, which basically meant she thought they were in an open relationship while Jim had no clue she felt that way.

Jim and this girl were a thing for nearly four years, and then she decided to have a threesome in his car. One of the guys even videotaped it and posted it on Facebook, tagging Jim in it. I saw the video, even though he didn't. So, I had to break the news to him, and needless to say, he flipped out. The girl claimed she wanted an open relationship, but she never actually talked to Jim about it.

The weird part is, Jim might not have seen the video, but his family and other friends did. So, when she denied everything and said I was lying, it didn't fly. She tried to play it off like she just kissed the other guys, but that didn't hold up, especially when Jim's dad called and spilled the beans. They somehow stuck together for another five months, but then she left him for another guy. Now she's off in college, and Jim's happily moved on with someone else.

For a long time, Jim would call me at all hours, saying how much he missed the hippie because she used to just waltz into his house and crash with him. It messed up a lot of his relationships with other girls. But eventually, he let go of the hippie, and that's when things got even crazier. She tried to stab him with a kitchen knife.

I'm still pals with Jim, but that hippie girl? She used to be my best friend. She also had a knack for sleeping with my ex-boyfriends. She was never a good person. I'd tell her I had a crush on a guy, and she'd somehow mess that up too.

Sorry, I went on a bit of a tangent there, but seriously, that girl is the real parasite.

41. The Other Guy

Things were a bit shaky between us. I was working a lot, feeling drained, and not really up for going out with her when she wanted to be social with friends. I figured I'd make up for it on Valentine's Day and texted one of her friends to see if there was something special she'd like to do. While waiting for the reply, I was in another room and noticed her phone buzzing with her friend's name. But the number didn't match what I had just sent the text to.

My blood went ice-cold, and I had this sinking feeling of dread. I decided to call the number with my own phone, and it just rang and rang before going to voicemail. Turned out, it was the other guy she was seeing.

I confronted her about it, and she basically admitted she was ready to leave and had even packed a bag in case I found out. She had zero intentions of trying to work things out, so about a month later, she moved out.

That's when I made a choice: I could either be broken up and miserable or decide to be happy and open to a new relationship if the opportunity came along. Fast forward, I've since remarried and have two wonderful boys with my amazing wife.

42. Mom Has A Secret

My mom had this boyfriend back in the day before she met my dad. She ended things with him to be with my dad, and they eventually got married, had my older brother and me.

But here's the twist. Fast forward about ten years, and my mom starts taking these work trips to see her "friend" in Chicago. I was young enough that I can't recall exactly when it all began, but I definitely noticed my dad getting super irritable on those weekends. I think I was around twelve when I finally pieced it together, and I figured it out before my older brother did.

I'd sit at the top of the stairs and eavesdrop on my parents arguing. I can't even remember if I stumbled upon some clue that gave it away, if it gradually dawned on me as I got older, or if it suddenly clicked one day. But the fact that my mom was a master at keeping secrets became a permanent part of my life.

My dad used to practically beg me not to confront my mom about what I knew. First, he desperately wanted to keep the family together. And second, he knew that if I spilled the beans, my mom would turn the tables on him for getting the kids involved. No kidding.

One summer, right after I graduated from high school, I came home from work to find my mom in the garage, loading up her car with blankets. I casually asked her what she was up to, and she hesitated for a moment before saying, "Well, I'm moving out." I just went inside, kinda numb.

Later, she texted my dad that she had moved to her brother's place. Yep, that's how he found out. Twenty years of marriage and she sent him a text message. Who knows if she planned on telling me at all if I hadn't shown up when I did, or if she would've just vanished.

She's pulled disappearing acts before, leaving without telling me where she was headed. I'd realize I hadn't seen her for days, ask my dad where she was, and he'd be like, "Oh, she didn't tell you? She's off in 'Montreal' for a week" or some other place. So honestly, anything is possible with her.

43. Birthday Surprise

My neighbor, who's also my best buddy, had a rough deal. It was his 30th birthday, and we had a bunch of folks over at his place for a party. Things were getting pretty wild, and he was hitting around a 7 out of 10 on the drunk-o-meter when he clumsily spilled beer all over his shirt. Classic party move, right?

He decides he needs a wardrobe change, and he asks me to come with him. He said he wanted to chat about something private, so I obliged, and we headed upstairs. Little did we know, his bedroom was about to turn into a soap opera set.

We open the bedroom door, and there's his boss and his fiancée getting busy. I can still see the shock on all their faces. Cue the awkward silence, right? They start with the classic "This isn't what it looks like" routine.

But my friend, without missing a beat, goes, "If this isn't what it looks like, why was he so far inside you?" I was just standing there in disbelief, utterly stunned.

His boss starts scrambling to get dressed, and I escort that piece of work out of the party. The guy even grabbed a to-go drink on his way out. Real class act.

My friend eventually comes back downstairs, chugs a beer, and drops the bombshell on everyone. "My now ex-fiancée got caught in bed with my boss, and I walked in on them with her legs behind her head. I didn't even know she could do that; usually, she just lies there like a starfish. Anyway, let's get seriously messed up."

It took him a while to recover from that mess. The silver lining? It was his condo, he owned both cars, and she had just quit her job to be a housewife. Karma served on a silver platter, my friends.

44. Cheating On TV?

Back in the early 2000s, my friend's husband was deployed to Iraq. They had a 10-year-old son and a pretty solid marriage. One day, while he was overseas, I got a call from another friend who was basically yelling, "You won't believe what's on the news!" So, I turned on the TV, expecting something wild.

But what I saw was a human interest story about a fundraiser at a high school about 30 miles away. They were doing some Relay for Life thing, and they had this surprise for one of the participants. They decided to do a video call from Iraq to show her husband, who was supposed to be overseas, on the football jumbotron.

So, there he was on our local news, telling another woman and two kids how much he loved them and couldn't wait to get back home. The news was eating it up, praising the guy for being such a great husband.

Naturally, we gathered our group of friends to figure out how the heck we were going to break this news to her. I got nominated for the "lucky" task, so the next day, I sat her down and spilled the beans about what we all witnessed. She decided to call the news station to see it for herself, and they were pretty apologetic about the whole thing.

As for the story's ending, well, it's not the happiest. She confronted him about the whole ordeal, they started divorce proceedings, and he ended up legally marrying the mother of his other kids. Sadly, he mostly ignored his son from the first marriage.

45. Congratulations On Your Engagement

I met this girl while she was working the late shift at a drugstore. We flirted here and there, exchanged numbers, and eventually ended up sleeping together. After a few weeks, she invited me to join her for drinks at this dingy little bar she frequented on the north side of the city. So, we spent the night dancing, sipping on drinks, and mingling with her acquaintances.

At one point, this guy comes up to me all friendly, saying, "Finally, nice to meet you! Congrats on the engagement!"

I couldn't help but chuckle and replied, "What are you talking about?!" as I nearly choked on my drink.

He gave me this puzzled look and said, "You're here with Corrie, right? It's Paul, isn't it?"

I raised an eyebrow and pointed to myself, saying, "Nah, man, the name's Kyle." We just stared at each other, slowly realizing the bizarre situation we were caught up in that fateful night.

You see, Corrie was engaged to a dude named Paul, and yours truly was the "other guy." Paul worked out of town for extended periods, and, well, things got complicated.

It was kinda wild, how you could practically see the word spreading around the small bar, dramatically shifting the vibe in the room. We decided to bail not long after that awkward revelation.

So, yeah, she brought me—the guy she was cheating on her fiancé with—to her favorite bar, surrounded by friends who knew her well enough to know she was engaged to a Paul, not a Kyle. Pretty messed up, right? After that night, I never saw her again.

According to the magical realm of Facebook, Paul and Corrie are currently hitched.
